Lighting, Sound, Display Mapping The Event: The brief was to create a production that left a lasting impression, Our starting point, a blank canvas at FNB Stadium. The creative design was conceptualised by Keith Mac Intyre. “I wanted to create a purely theatrical technical show, utilising all the elements with which we work; sound, lighting & display, amplified with a projection mapped stadium field, pyrotechnics and skydivers”, explains Keith Mac Intyre. The event took two months to conceptualise, and although the venue posed many challenges during the set-up, Solid Rock still delivered an excellent execution. The finished product included a 46m wide by 25m high projection, 196 moving fixtures (all 1600 Watt and above), 6 minutes of pyrotechnics with up to 12 inch “mortars”, four skydivers cued from our show caller Andrew Temblett, and lighting triggered from video cues. The event was held over five evenings, with an audience of 100 pax per event.
